CK-12, OER and Bookshare
Our first live example was content from Bookshare, a resource for accessible content in audio, Daisy and Braille-ready Format (BRF). This site has now gone live and the tagging a bit more sophisticated than this early example of just a single textbook.
Open Educational Resources (OER) has content for a CK-12 Geometry Book, (student edition).
- Original Source Page, at CK-12 and the Daisy and BRF accessible formats, at Bookshare.org
- Accessibility Metadata-tagged version of Bookshare.org
- Google’s Structured Data Testing Tool output of the source document at CK-12 and the Accessibility metadata-tagged Bookshare.org
Note: This metadata is tagged as RDFa and later done as microdata. Metadata is scanned for the full page without hierarchy, so you’ll see a flat view.
Live implementation at Bookshare
The example above has gone live, at least on the Bookshare side, for the accessibility metadata. You can see the live page at Bookshare and the structured data tool results.
